CALENDAR HOUSE ITALIAN NIGHT Tuesday, October 21st Aqua Turf Club Glass Room, 5-9 pm (Check-in 5-5:45 pm/Dinner served at 6 pm) Tickets: $38 per person (The Calendar House Membership Association has generously subsidized your ticket price). Tickets go on sale, Monday, September 22nd through Tuesday, October 15th. Family Style Menu: House Garden Salad * Penne Bolognese * Meatballs and Sausage * Chicken Parmigiana * Green Beans w/ EVOO * Roasted Rosemary New Bliss Potatoes * Ice Cream w/ Chocolate Sauce * Cash Bar Entertainment by DJ Bryon Daley! Tickets will be sold at the event for "50/25/15/10 cash" and "gift basket" raffles. Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Calendar House Membership Association. Registration starts at 10 AM on Monday 3rd November in the Social Services room. Registrations will also be accepted in the Computer Lab on Monday morning (10 to 12 am) and Wednesday afternoon (1 to 3 pm) until the start of each class.

Operation Stay Warm-Winter Clothing Shop
Southington Community Services will be here in the Main Hall to run their Winter Clothing Shop for our seniors! They will have a wide array of winter coats and accessories for cold weather available for no cost to you. Share the holiday spirit with the Southington Community Services volunteers with music, light refreshments and a raffle! This is a drop in event.

Mindful Outdoor Stroll
Join us for a Mindful Outdoor Experience, a gentle, guided stroll with moments of mindfulness and reflection designed to deepen your connection with nature. Inspired by Shinrin-yoku (Japanese for forest bathing), this experience invites you to slow down and enjoy the sights, sounds, and sensations of the natural world. Time in nature has been shown to reduce stress and support overall well-being. Please wear comfortable, warm clothing and sneakers. Stay on the paved pathways around the Calendar House for this first gathering. We will gather in the lobby until everyone has arrived. Calendar House Foot Clinic Nurse Katie Goshdigian will be providing foot care on select Mondays in the health suite. Appointments are for 30 minutes and include basic foot assessment, nail trimming, nail filing, and filing of corns/calluses. Cost is $30 payable to the nurse via cash or check made out to Foot Care RN. Please note clients with ingrown nails, history of leg/foot ulcers and diabetics taking medication need to seek foot care with their podiatrist or primary care provider. Create Your Own Lighted Decoupage Wine Bottle! Join us for a fun and relaxing crafting session where you'll learn how to turn an ordinary glass bottle into a beautiful, lighted piece of home décor. No painting or crafting experience is needed - if you can glue, you can do it! Decoupage is the art of decorating objects by layering delicate tissues or papers onto them, then adding special paint effects and embellishments to create stunning designs. In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover the fundamentals of decoupage and learn all the tips and tricks to transform glass bottles into easy, affordable, and elegant decorations. Each participant can choose from a variety of seasonal images, papers, and embellishments to design their own one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Your finished creation will make a beautiful addition to your home or a thoughtful handmade gift. All supplies are provided, and you'll leave with your completed, beautifully lighted bottle - ready to display or use as a vase! Please register in person before Friday, November 7th. Join us for an interactive discussion where they will talk about who they are and how they are able to assist members of the community stay safe at home. They will cover the services that they offer and answer any questions that people may have.
