Reiki Healing
REIKI HEALING Reiki Healing sessions with Jennifer Michnowicz! Your first session with Jennifer is only $10. Additional sessions are $25 each payable directly to Jennifer Michnowicz. Call us at 860-621-3014 to schedule a 45-minute time slot! "When one is relaxed and calm, their health and healing are enhanced" Jennifer explains what a private Reiki session looks like: "We will meet in the Health Suite. Wear something comfortable. You will be given the option to remove your shoes, glasses, and hearing aids. As you become comfortable on the massage table, I will put on some relaxing music and wash my hands. I can perform the Reiki Healing with or without actually touching. That is up to you! I generally start at your head and finish at your feet. My hands will hover over, not touch, your torso. Since the energy is different every time, I may be in one spot the whole time or scanning the body."

"Are you Listening?"
"ARE YOU LISTENING?" Thursday, May 23rd, 10-11:30 a.m. Calendar House is partnering with the Southington Public Library to offer this popular program again! You may hear well, but do you listen well? If not, you're missing more than you know. Try active listening. With practice, you can reduce distractions, recognize unconscious biases, read between the lines, and avoid judging or giving unwanted advice. Family, friends, and coworkers will notice you actually pay attention during a conversation. Are You Listening? is a sometimes-humorous look at listening styles, bad habits, and body language. You'll hear about recent findings and follow proven approaches to listen better. To register: Call 860-621-3014 or stop at the Calendar House front desk. Your presenter, Southington resident Waldemar "Wally" Kostrzewa, has taught workshops for colleges, state and local agencies, corporations, and community groups. Topics have included team building, leadership, effective meetings, strategic planning, project management, and customer service.
